Alternative EV Assistance payment option
You can now claim EV Assistance after upgrading to an EV and receive it in monthly instalments to help with the ongoing costs of driving an EV.

If the option to upgrade to an EV through our panel of approved vehicle vendors doesn’t work for you, this option may be for you.

To claim Clean Air Plan funds (also known as EV assistance) you need to have:
  • £100 or more EV assistance accumulated
  • 150 completed trips in the past 8 weeks, which must have been in an EV
  • The EV against which the claim is being made must be ‘Active’ on your Driver account

    • If you’re eligible, you'll get £100 every month until the EV assistance that you are eligible for runs out. You will also remain eligible to claim EV Assistance through an approved vendor in future, should you switch again.

    You only need to submit this request once. We will re-review your eligibility for every monthly payment.
